I have been involved in the EU 3D4YOU project, which is investigating the 3D-TV production chain from capturing to delivery into the living room. My focus in this regard is the correct depth reconstruction for every pixel of the delivered images from the captured data. In order to overcome difficulties of conventional (passive) stereo the integration of ToF-Camera measurements is a particular aspect of my research. In order to speed up calculations it is investigated where and how the processing can be done on the GPU.

In the past I've been working in the EU MATRIS project. Here my focus was to generate dense depth maps from calibrated fisheye images, and fuse them into a consistent 3D Model for the purpose of (GPU driven) analysis-by-synthesis tracking.
